Renting Art or Buying Art?
Through renting a work of art for a fixed period of time you can try out for
yourself what it is like being surrounded by it and live with it. For art is
more than just "a painting on the wall": works of art have an aura,
which can be perceived. They give an atmosphere to a room and always reflect
a philosophy. So, whoever does not want to commit oneself forever has the possibility
to rent art as an alternative to buying it.
Specially for companies the rental of art work has even more advantages: while
the cost of buying art work is sometimes hard to define as a business expense
tax wise, the expenses for the rental of contemporary art are tax deductible
as any other business expense. Also for individuals art rental is an advantageous
alternative and fees are surprisingly reasonable.
